By downloading or using Moat ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Moat is operated by AI Plus.

1. The service

Moat generates time-based and counter-based one-time passcodes (TOTP and HOTP) and provides optional encrypted storage for passwords. Your 2FA secrets and passwords are kept in your device's Keychain and are encrypted on your device.

2. Your responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for keeping your own backups and recovery key. Because your data is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot access or recover your secrets, passwords, or recovery key. If they are lost, you may be permanently locked out of the accounts they protect.

3. Subscriptions

The App offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks unlimited accounts, an encrypted password vault, and end-to-end encrypted backup & sync, priced at $12.99/month or $59.99/year and beginning with a 3-day free trial. On iPhone, subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. On our website, subscriptions are sold by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our merchant of record for web sales, and renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds are handled by Apple or Paddle respectively — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose, and do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or compromise its security.

5. No warranty; limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any loss of data or loss of access arising from your use of the App.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
